Minister Guerini visits Lecco’s historic Fiocchi company

he Minister of Defense Lorenzo Guerini visited today the historic Fiocchi ammunition company in Lecco.

Welcoming him were the President of Fiocchi, Dr. Stefano Fiocchi, the Prefect of Lecco Castrese De Rosa, the Honorable Gian Mario Fragomeli, the Deputy Mayor Simona Piazza, and the Provincial Commander of the Carabinieri, Colonel Igor Infante.

During the visit, the Minister had the opportunity to observe the production chain and meet the workers of the historic plant.

“In this delicate moment for the country, it is important to contribute to the economic recovery by enhancing the full potential expressible by the Defense Industry,”* declared the Minister, who added: “Investments in this field are a cornerstone of our sovereignty and an essential element of Italy’s competitiveness, even abroad.”

Founded in Lecco in 1876 by Giulio Fiocchi and now in its fifth generation, Fiocchi has over 1,000 employees worldwide, with a consolidated turnover of approximately €220M. It is recognized everywhere as a synonym of responsibility, reliability, performance, and commitment.

The uniqueness of Fiocchi lies in producing all the components that make up its products within its Lecco headquarters, a characteristic that, combined with constant research and production flexibility, makes the company competitive in global markets.
