Italian Mauro De Filippis won for the third year in a row the Fiocchi Master, the concluding moment of Fiocchi Day 2021, which was celebrated over the weekend at TAV Umbriaverde in Todi (PG).
After passing the qualifying phase with 5,000 shooters and winning the 4 finals by beating competition from 998 specialists, more than 30 athletes came to the Umbrian platforms to contest the Fiocchi Master and win the gold cartridge and prizes up for grabs.
Over two days of competition, participants took turns in four shooting sessions, at the end of which the ranking ended with two athletes at the top with the same score of 97/100: Mauro De Filippis and Alessandro Chianese. The Fiocchi Master was then decided by a shoot-off, which crowned the Italian champion, also a protagonist at the last Olympic Games in Tokyo.
The competition also elected the 10 shooters who earned a place in the Fiocchi 2022 Top Ten. The list consists of Alessandro Chianese, Franco Felici, Joseph Fortunato, Mattia Sardi, Riccardo Faccani, Carlo Vinci, Cosimo D’Elia, Luca Frattesi, Federico De Micheli, and Marco Ralli.
For all of them, a supply of Fiocchi ammunition, a selection of equipment and clothing from the Lecco-based company, and the opportunity to compete as full members of the Fiocchi Team throughout the upcoming season.
