OUR HISTORY
BEGINS IN 1876
IN LECCO

Fiocchi Munizioni was founded in Lecco, Italy in 1876 by Giulio Fiocchi and is now an established manufacturer of small caliber ammunition for the sport and hunting, security and defense sectors with nearly 150 years of history.

The highly innovative spirit allowed Fiocchi to develop the first solutions for “green” products as early as the late 1980s with lead- and heavy metal-free mixture primers, which were followed by other components so that today Fiocchi can boast a very wide range of completely “green” products. Attention to the environment is a philosophy for Fiocchi that finds ample emphasis within the company with special attention to the production process.

Innovation also means a global vision if we think that in the early 1970s Fiocchi of America was born, the first subsidiary in the U.S. to meet the needs of the world’s first market.

Adding to these achievements in subsequent years have been NATO qualifications, synonymous with high quality standards, certifications in quality, environment and safety, as well as the establishment of other subsidiaries in the UK or partnerships such as the one in New Zealand or the acquisition, more recently, of Baschieri & Pellagri and Lyalvale Express, as well as the establishment of new production sites in the US.

FIOCCHI GROUP

Today Fiocchi is 70 percent owned by the Prague-based Czechoslovak Group, a global leader in industry and technology with roots in Czechoslovak industry and interests in various sectors; 25 percent is controlled by Giulio Fiocchi S.p.A., the holding company of the Fiocchi family, while a marginal stake is held by an investment fund. Fiocchi boasts about 1250 employees worldwide, 5 production sites and a solidified turnover of about 365 mln in 2023 and an annual production of triggers of about 1300 mln pieces.

SPORT

The sports sector is a source of great pride for Fiocchi, not only because of the successes that Fiocchi Team athletes have achieved over the years but because of the values that sports teach and that are shared by the company and the people who work there.

For more than 30 years Fiocchi has been a technical partner of the Italian Winter Sports Federation for the activities of the Italian National Biathlon Team. The recent successes of champions such as Lisa Vittozzi and Dorothea Wierer, of whom Fiocchi is also a personal sponsor, project this exciting discipline and the company among the protagonists of the Milan – Cortina Olympics. Fiocchi also supports, through FISI, the national movement related to biathlon, which represents the nursery of tomorrow’s champions.

The other Olympic discipline in which Fiocchi excels is shooting: the Fiocchi Team now boasts athletes belonging to the teams of 10 national teams for a total of about 60 athletes with more or less established experience. Just to mention the Olympic Games, since Los Angeles 1984 Fiocchi athletes have won 20 Olympic medals, and for Paris 2024 as many as 12 Fiocchi Team athletes have won the Olympic card.

Fiocchi’s commitment does not end with professionals because ammunition-related but non-Olympic disciplines are numerous, and Fiocchi supports these activities with various initiatives.
